Cafe Nine Presents David Brothers

On March 10th, DrinkDeeply presents Portland Oregon’s, David Brothers w/ Paul Panamarenko to Cafe Nine in New Haven.

Brothers, a recipient of the Cascade Blues Association’s Christopher Scholarship, reminds one of a guitar style reminiscent of Leo Kottke and the late fingerstyle pioneer, Merle Travis. His recent CD, “Corn Flakes and Gin,” produced by Terry Robb at Falcon Records, is an americana testament that would bring a smile to folk/bluegrass legend, Doc Watson.

Check out a few cuts from “Corn Flakes and Gin,” at davidbrothersmusic.com and become a believer. “I Feel Like Hank Wiliams Toni,” puts on display Brothers’ fiery picking along with some impressive mandolin work. With no cover at the door, folk enthusiasts in the area will be in for a treat!  Like this article?  Click on the subscribe button above and keep posted on upcoming reviews.
