…”Guitar Playing is Masterful and Precise, song writing is brilliant.”…
Blues Notes Magazine

… “a top notch artist”…
Greg Johnson: President Cascade Blues Association

David Brothers, critically acclaimed entertainer and composer, combines urban folk and blues in a sound that is distinctively his own. Playing his original material, David mixes the influences of John Coltrane, Freddie King, Muddy Waters, Django Reinhart, and John Fahey in his technique, style and approach.

Brothers first paying gig was at the Thirsty Armadillo in the stockyards of Ft Worth Texas. Early inspiration came from hanging out with Leon Rouche, voice of Bob Wills and the Texas Playboys, and Dave Milsap, Delbert Mclinton’s guitarist, at the Fort Worth music store where David worked.

David moved to Portland Oregon, where he earned the Chistopher Mesi Memorial Scholarship from the Cascade Blues Association. David has performed with some of the Pacific Northwest’s most elite musicians, including CBA Muddy Hall of Famers, Terry Robb and Robby Laws.

David’s highly regarded album “Cornflakes and Gin” was released to a sold out house in 2009. David leads the David Brothers Band, and performs solo and in collaboration with other musicians.
